What Are Data Entry Jobs?

Posted on October 31, 2008 by Harish Nerella | No Comments

The data entry market provides a steady income and jobs are fairly easy to obtain provided you have the necessary skills.

One of the most important skills needed for anyone entering the data inputting field is that of accuracy. Where raw data is provided on pre-printed continuous stationery, then you need to have some method of keeping track of where you are on the page. A highlighter pen can be useful in this respect as distractions occur all too often and it is very easy to lose track of the exact database entry or purchase invoice you have just been doing.

The font size of many computer printouts can be problematic if you have a large nibbed highlighter pen as more than one entry can be covered by an overly large nib.

Data entry jobs require good keyboarding skills.

Touch typing as it used to be called is not a pre-requisite for data entry but it certainly helps. You could consider going on a keyboarding course. These are usually free or provided at low cost from your local community college.

Details can be found in your local directory and it is certainly worth taking the time to acquire this very important skill. Of course, this skill is not only important for home data entry job, it will stand you in good stead should you wish to enter any part of the corporate world. Good typists to offer a home based data entry job to are hard to find.

The ability to work quickly.

Companies operate to budgets. If you are working in-house or for an online data entry job agency then they pay you by the hour, not by the job so they expect a certain amount of data to be entered per day. This is where the data entry job from home input worker has the advantage, more often than not, they are paid by the job rather than by the hour.

Proof reading skills.

After data is entered, you will need to check your work for errors. We all make mistakes, it is only human and dealing with large data volumes it is easy to transpose figures or type an entry into the wrong column so we need to check inputs with the original raw data supplied and be prepared to correct if necessary.

Organisational Skills.

If you work from home, it is important to prioritise your workload and fit it around your other work and family commitments. It is all too easy to let things slide and then end up needing to rush the data entry jobs with only a few hours to go before the work needs to be submitted.

So, if you’ve got these skills or can learn them then data entry jobs should be right up your street.

How to create a sitemap

Posted on October 31, 2008 by Harish Nerella | No Comments

A sitemap of a website is similar to the table of contents of a book. Sitemaps are important because it guides web surfers to the particular part of the website they have a point of interest in. With it they would save time following links and get right to the point instead.

Sitemaps are also where search engines look at if somebody is looking for a particular keyword or phrase. If you have a site map, you can most likely be searched.

Creating a sitemap, now with software technology surging in, is relatively easier than before. You need not be a programming guru to be one. All need is a notepad, a program editor, and some patience. Here’s how you do it:

Create the listing on a notepad.

It doesn’t necessarily have to be a notepad. Any word processing program will do. First off, make sure to type in all the parts and pieces of your website. Include all pages and all links you have. Create it as if you listing the contents of your book. Make a draft first. You’re sure no to miss something out this way.

Create a new page for your sitemap.

You can insert the sitemap on your website on one of its pages or you can create an entirely different page for it. Using your notepad, incorporate all tags necessary to it to make another webpage. Open up your website creator program and tag your sitemap using it. If you have created your website on your own, this will be easy for you.

Create a link for the sitemap.

You won’t be able to view the sitemap if you won’t put a link for it, of course. Create the link on the front page of your website so that visitors can view it right away and be directed appropriately.

Check your work.

It is important to validate the functionality of the links you created on the sitemap. Test each and every one in there and if you get an error, be sure to fix it accurately. Run through every single page to make sure that all are accounted for.

Upload your work.

Place the sitemap now on your live browser and double check it. It should function as smoothly as the dry run. Error should be minimal at this stage since you already have verified it locally.

The steps provided herewith is the manual way of creating a sitemap. These days, if you search hard enough on the web, you will find online programs that will do all these work for you. All you have to do it type in the URL or the link of your website and they will create the sitemap with click of a button.

Of course that method is generic. All of you who have created their sitemap that way will have an end product that is all the same, plus there’s that possibility that something else will be inserted in there too. Then again, the process is less taxing and way, way simpler.

But if you want a more personalized output, and you are pretty good with computers and programming yourself, better make one of your own. And since you made your website anyway, creating sitemap is just like creating any other page on the website. Other than you’ll know for sure the links are accurate, you can organize the links the way you prefer it to be. Major parts of the site are emphasized compared to less significant. This is important especially if you are selling products or offering services online.

Sitemap is vital to a website. People search the web a lot for something. If your website has what that particular person is looking for, and your sitemap reports it, then you have a new customer looking at your items. Not only that, they will see some other things up for sale that they might be interested in as well.

Sitemaps, be it generated by a program automatically or you made it yourself, presents the same purpose. That is to lead your visitors to where they’re likely headed, and for you to be seen on the World Wide Web through search spiders. So with these, make sure your website has a sitemap of its own, lest make one.

What is Blogosphere?

Posted on October 31, 2008 by Harish Nerella | No Comments

The blogosphere is a phenomenon that the internet world is experiencing today. The name that was initially used as a joke around a decade ago has gained currency all around the world. Basically it was coined to describe the interconnection between the millions of blogs on the internet. The use of the word today is not limited to humor rather people have seriously begun to use this term for this existing relationship and many are analyzing the impacts that the blogosphere has had on journalism in general.

The word blogosphere seems to be inspired by the word logosphere which is actually derived from the ancient Greek word logos and sphere. This phenomenon seeks to describe the world of information which has come about as a result of the modern means of communications. In the same way the word blogosphere seeks to describe the universe of blogs. It is common knowledge that the word blog has been derived from the term web log. Although blogs have been around on the internet for quite some time now their nature and purpose has evolved over time. The blogosphere is exploding so it seems and it is unlikely that this explosion is going to seize anytime soon. The reasons for blogging are many such as a product launch, expression of personal thought, publishing academic researches and written works, to hold discussions on various topics, news and anything else that your mind can think of.

Although in principle a blob is an expression of an individual. It is run by a single author who writes all his posts and keeps updating them gradually. Obviously there is no hard and fast rule as such and some blogs may even have a handful of writers. Readers always have the chance to interact in some way or another through posting their comments and suggestions on these blogs.

When it comes to understanding the blogosphere we may consider it to be the social culture that is stemming out of the blog mass. There are many services that help different blogs connect with each other. Hence authors of one post have the chance to link with other posts. The author can also post comments on other blogs with links carrying the reader back to his post. Another aspect is that of developing a list of favorite blogs which is also known as the blogroll. This solid connection between the various blogs makes it easy to transfer information at good speed.

So how does information spread all over the blogosphere? Basically when a blog posts something which appeals to other bloggers they have a chance to post their reactionary comments. Other readers will post their comments on the comments of the other bloggers and hence soon the information will have spread across the blogosphere. This is the most powerful aspect of blogging and people are just beginning to realize the widespread impacts that the blogosphere has on many aspects of life that lie outside the retrospect of blogging and the internet for that matter.

Being a webmaster means you are into some business which doesn’t always require having offline business such as building offices, meeting each client personally for setting up a deal.
You are a businessman who works online i.e. on the internet to earn and make deals with both online and offline companies.

There are millions of webmasters all over the web who work individually, or under firms or big companies and help in setting up online campaigns and websites of their clients. Some work by making webmastering as their full time job, and some work on the net as their part-time job.
Some webmasters are just bloggers, who make money by just having blogs and earn money by blogging. And some work from their own Internet marketing or SEO firms. The question here is whether this is done full time or part time?

If you are a student, or working somewhere, then you can’t consider yourself a full-time webmaster!
I, myself am a part-time webmaster as am still undergoing my graduation and studying B.D.S., so try to spend a few hours per day on the internet, by just blogging and reading other blogs. And also maintain a few websites.

Being a full-time webmaster can be more beneficial than working in any company, if you are not a student. If you have the correct knowledge of how to spend time on the web more effectively, then you can earn loads and have a bright internet future.

So, are you a part-time or full-time webmaster?

Do you think you can make 100 times more money if you start 100 websites/blogs? If you think that’s the case then you are wrong because its very hard to manage, develop and run 100 blogs when you compare it to one. Why not build only 1 blog and try to put down all the efforts you planned for all the 100 blogs. This way you can create a lot more better website/blog.

Here is a small example/comparision of 100 Blogs vs 1 Blog.

Single Blog Multiple Blogs Compared

Investment Point of View :
1 Domain + Hosting Account = 100$/year(Max)
100 Domains + Hosting Accounts = 1100$/year(Avg)

Traffic Point of View :
Optimizing and promoting 100 blogs would be very hard when you compare it with comparing with one blog which you can easily handle and promote in the beginning. You can hire some editors and developers and give them different sections of your single blog and easily handle the whole blog.

Advantages of Single Blog :
Some of the best advantages of a single blog are that you can easily get advertisers and also get a brand value because a single blog would have higher amount of content, better traffic and the advertisers would be happy to promote their product on a famous blog rather than a hundred almost dead blogs.

If you are looking for a free blogs service do check out OneBp.com Free Blogs service where you can instantly create a blog, select a beautiful theme and start blogging within a minutes time. You can also add your adverts on your blog and make money via onebp.com.

You have started a blog after reading and getting inspired by other bloggers and want to give a try by making money from blogging? Its not really easy as it looks because you need to have some basic requirements before you can become a professional blogger.

The first thing would be to understand what is blogging, advantages of it, how to use the CMS, how to make changes in the design part, how to monetize it with the basic income programs, how to make sure the basic SEO steps are adapted etc. Without the knowledge of all this stuff you should not get started into web-blogging because without a real good plan and knowledge you cannot continue your blogging plan and will stop in the middle and try to dump this idea. Instead start getting the basic knowledge from different blog glossary websites like the Indian ProBlogger which offers you detailed information about all the blogging related words.

Once you have leart and got a idea about how to start blogging you should go for selecting a valuable domain name which can have a better resale value even if a blog is not developed and can be easily remembered by anyone and does not have any general typo options or else make sure you register all the related typo’s for this blogging domain name.

Start with around 10-20 posts of content which are in the size of around 500 words each in general or some pillar articles and post them on your blog and make sure you ping these posts with google blog search and using wordpress ping list

Once you manage to complete these basic steps you need to start creating google sitemaps & yahoo sitemaps because they can help the search engine find out all the pages and posts on your blog. You should also make sure that you generate robots.txt file.

When you start blogging you should make sure you have selected the most searched keywords and based on this analysis you should start writing your blog posts. The Content part is very important section of your blogging project because if you got the right content then you get better success. While writing blog posts you should start a introduction of the article, body part with the most content in this part followed by the end part of the article with a conclusion, though this kind of format suits for a pillar posts kind of articles which are very big in size.

The next important aim would be to implement the search engine optimization which you can do using SEO Softwares or manual job by applying different link building tools and making sure you dont over do it and get banned in the search engines. If your blog is very new you should not start doing heavy link building because it can have a long term negative effect and make you lose a lot over gains.

Make Money Online BloggingThe final part of this article would be amount making money from your blogging venture and this is a very important aspect because you need to wait for a certain stage before you start showing/stuffying ads on your blog. Depending on your blog goals you can plan out the right time before adding adverts on your blog. The most important aspect would be to add ads on your blog once you cross getting 500 uniques/day or 5000 page impressions/day because at that stage your blog gets a real life and you can find a future for it. Stop reading other make money online blogs because as i told you guys last time No One Helps you to Make Money Online and you should always try to be a self-inspired practical guy who works more and tries to read less, implements more and dreams less.

If you do have any doubts related to getting started into blogging do let me know and i would be happy in helping you out!

First let me say that I have purchased premium account at rapidshare and have been using it for 4 months now without a single regret. But then when I share file with friends they often complain that the time limit is extremely frustrating ( know that`s true from my own experience). Then I discovered the Rapidshare premium links. All you have to do is go to one of the sites, type in the rapidshare link, and click download. The only downside is that they are public, so anyone can have access. Each link we will show you has a 25 gb daily limit, so if you happen to download a 5 kb file, then you have to wait for the next day, or use a different one. the 5kb file means that the daily limit has been reached.

There are several web sites out there which may help you. The one which is verified as working by my friends is Rapid cheat (link)

An update : My premium at rapidshare expired and when I returned to this post I have noticed that the Rapid cheat web site is more than often not working. Thankfully I was able to discover another premium link generator- Megadl.info/rs which services rock at the moment I write this – pay it a visit and don`t forget to read the rules there and use the services responsibly.

More generators :

  1. RS Generator
  2. RapidCheat
  3. HelloRapid
  4. Rapid Unblock
  5. RS Dln
  6. Rapid Lizard
  7. RS Premium
  8. Very Rapidshare
  9. Rapid File
  10. Rapid Loader
  11. RS Fox
